This exceptional position has now been impressively confirmed in a recent study by the Market Institute: An independent expert jury consisting of heating installers from all over Austria has chosen ÖkoFEN as the innovation winner in the field of wood energy among all producers. "An award by heating experts has a very special significance for us and motivates us especially to continue to develop new solutions for green heat from pellets." As top innovation the company comes up with the new ZeroFlame technology. With this milestone in the area of heating with wood pellets ÖkoFEN revolutionizes the firing of pellets and achieves dust emissions close to zero. The special airflow guidance or enrichment in combination with a special combustion chamber design provide a very special effect. The flame disappears almost completely, reducing particulate emissions to a minimum. All that remains is: heat and clean exhaust air.

The company will also be presenting the globally unique myEnergy365 system for independent and ecological power and heat generation with an electricity-generating pellet heating system, as well as the highly efficient condensing technology. The revolutionary Condens technology enables additional energy gain by using the heat present in the exhaust gas, saving emissions and heating costs.

Sales increase by 70 percent in 2021 - expansion of company headquarters enables doubling of production capacity
ÖkoFEN draws an extremely positive balance for the year 2021 and was able to achieve a growth of about 70 percent to about 190 million (2020: 115 million euros) compared to the year before. In total, the Mühlviertel-based company already delivered more than 25,000 pellet heating systems worldwide in the previous year.

Heating with pellets is booming, and demand for climate-friendly pellet heating systems from Austria is rising steadily. In order to keep pace with market growth and to further focus research and development, the company started the expansion of its corporate headquarters in April 2021. Completion of the construction project and the start of production operations are scheduled for summer 2022. The production and logistics site will then cover 40,000 m².
