ÖkoFEN and Loxone: Upper Austrian companies cooperate for more comfort and efficiency

The smart home is a continuing trend in the home. Intelligent heating is also a central topic for ÖkoFEN. In order to expand the functional scope of the heating control, ÖkoFEN cooperates with the building automation specialist Loxone.. Together, the two Upper Austrian based companies are working on linking their systems to simplify the integration of heating into the smart home for their customers and thus offer even more comfort and efficiency.

Integration of ÖkoFEN into the Loxone home and building control system
For over 30 years, ÖkoFEN has been striving to make heating as convenient as possible for its customers, in addition to being environmentally friendly. The Pelletronic energy management system now controls the heating system fully automatically and no manual intervention is required. Messages about the status of the heating system are sent to the control panel, the remote control in the living room or also by e-mail or push message to a PC or smartphone. The status of the heating can be checked at any time via the myPelletronic app and adjustments can be made if necessary.

To make pellet heating even more intelligent, the two Upper Austrian based companies Loxone and ÖkoFEN implemented a solution for easy integration of the heating into the Smart Home System. Via a prepared interface, all ÖkoFEN boilers can be particularly easily and quickly integrated into the Loxone home & building automation system. The prepared interface saves installers research and configuration effort.

Numerous advantages through smart heating control
With the help of many practical functions, the integration of the heating control into a Loxone Smart Home offers decisive advantages - from comfort to optimal room climate. The automation learns the user's behaviour and adjusts the heating system accordingly. Thus, on the one hand, the living comfort is further increased, the efficiency increases and the energy costs decrease noticeably. A central component is also the coordination with ventilation, cooling and shading, which only enable an optimal indoor climate when they interact optimally. Future heating requirements, for example based on the weather forecast, are recognised automatically and the heating control adapts to them - the intelligent building avoids overheating and unnecessary switching on and off. The Loxone app also allows access to the alarm system, heating or music while on the move.

As part of the home automation system, connected to the heart of the Loxone Miniserver, the heating system can simply do even more. The two companies offer the perfect combination for this. ÖkoFEN pellet boilers provide renewable heat from wood pellets and Loxone provides the intelligent link with the building technology - the result is the greatest possible comfort and optimal energy efficiency.
