The GreenBOX® makes it possible – Utilizing surplus solar power

As a result, battery charging is initially delayed, and the electric heating element is activated instead. Comparison of Standard Control

The battery storage system has the same charge level as in the example above. Since no weather data is factored in, the heat pump starts heating earlier and, due to the lack of an outdoor temperature forecast, operates at a very high intensity. As a result, the battery discharges more quickly, making it necessary to draw power from the grid. The battery then recharges during periods of PV output.

Unfortunately, the heat pump does not run during peak PV hours, but only starts up again when it gets cooler. As a result, a significant amount of primary energy from the grid is also required in the evening. The battery charge level is then significantly lower in the evening by comparison.

Conclusion: Virtually no grid feed-in and significantly higher grid draw.
